At Star Dental & Implants in High Wycombe, we understand that affording necessary medical and dental treatments can sometimes be a challenge. That's why we offer assistance through the 'Compassionate Release of Superannuation' program, in collaboration with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
Through this program, eligible members, including their family, can utilise their superannuation (super) funds to cover medical and dental expenses. We facilitate the process by ensuring that our patients meet the criteria set forth by the ATO.
To qualify for the release of super funds, it's essential to demonstrate the necessity of dental care for immediate conditions causing pain and distress. This may require certification from either two dental practitioners, one being a specialist, or a combination of a general practitioner (GP) and a dental practitioner or specialist.
Dental treatments covered under this scheme aim to alleviate acute or chronic pain, address mental health concerns, or treat life-threatening illnesses or injuries. Eligibility is contingent upon not having adequate health insurance coverage for the required procedure and demonstrating financial need.
We encourage our patients to consider this option carefully, as accessing superannuation funds prematurely may have tax implications. Our team is available to provide guidance and support throughout the process.
If you're considering utilising your superannuation for dental work, we invite you to schedule an appointment with our experienced team at Star Dental & Implants. Together, we can explore your options and ensure you receive the care you need.
